Dog: Hunter (Road Rovers, voiced by Jess Harnell) 
Always liked this guy, cool and simple minded.

Cat: Salem (Sabrina the animated series/Sabrina's Secret Life, voiced by Nick Bakay/Maurice LaMarche)
Who doesn't enjoy Salem's adorable scheming!

Bird: Rev Runner (Loonatics Unleashed, voiced by Rob Paulsen)
Quick, smart and likes the color red almost as much as I do. (I think...)

Raccoon: Archie/The Archer (Penguins of Madagascar, another voiced by Rob Paulsen)
He's good with a bow and is a Part time d.j. 

Turtle: Verne (Over the Hedge, voiced by Garry Shandling)
A good leader with an indestructible shell.

Wolf: Drago (Sonic the Hedgehog Archie comic book, No voice actor)
He may be the bad guy but he has confidence. He could have used more of a chance to shine in the series.

Fox: Sherlock Hound/Holmes (Sherlock Hound Anime, voiced by Larry Moss)
It's debatable weather or not Sherlock is Played by a fox in this series, but thats what heard he's supposed to be.

Lion: Alex (Madagascar, voiced by Ben Stiller)
An obvious choice but the best Ben Stiller performance in my opinion.

Tiger: Kalus (Hot Wheels: Battle Force 5, voiced by Colin Murdock)
Technically he's tiger. He's another villain but was proven to be a better good guy as evidenced in one episode with an alternate version of the character.

Otter: Otter (The Adventures of Mole, voiced by Gary Martin)
Friendly and helpful. What more could you want?

Kangaroo: Red (The Rescuers Down Under, voiced by Peter Firth)
He's tough, even in the face of almost certain doom.

Dragon: Hector (Dragon Hunters, does not speak)
VERY interesting character design for a dragon!

Bear: Rick Sky (Talespin episode "Bygones", voiced by Simon Templeman)
Honorable, classic British hero.

Reptile: Scott Sorell (The Class Menagerie web comic, no voice actor)
Good cartoony character design. A laid back one-of-the-guys personality.

Rodent: Surly Squirrel (The Nut Job, voiced by Will Arnett)
A rouge survivalist who claims he's not a hero but couldn't be more wrong.

Unique Species [platypus]: Parker (Penguins of Madagascar special "The Penguin Who Loved Me, voiced by Ty Burrell)
Another lovable villain. Forget Perry, this guy takes advantage of his dangerous poison kicks and has enough charm to woo a dolphin apparently!

Wild Cards:

#1: [Coyote] Tech E. Coyote (Loonatics Unleashed, voiced by Kevin Michael Richardson)
As if you didn't see this one coming! Brilliant with magnetic powers a-la-Magneto.

#2: [Unknown] Radarr (Storm Hawks, does not speak)
Intelligent and playful. It's also fun to speculate as to what kind of animal he is.

#3: [Lombax] Ratchet (Ratchet and Clank, voiced by James Arnold Taylor)
According to the Dreadzone announcer Dallas he's technically an animal.

#4: [Weasel] Buck (Ice Age Dawn of the Dinosaurs, voiced by Simon Pegg)
A one eyed loner who lives among dinosaurs. He would be the reduced to the "Perfect hero" character arch type if he wasn't completely out of his freakin' mind!
